Peru and Bolivia

Our exclusive cultural tour starts in Lima, the capital of Peru. There you will be welcomed by our tour guides who will take you on a sightseeing tour of Lima's old town. Experience the historical sights and enjoy a delicious lunch in a selected restaurant in the beautiful Miraflores district. Afterwards, you will check into your hotel in Lima, where you will spend your first night.

From Lima, you will continue to Chiclayo, where you will visit the archaeological sites of Huaca Rajada. There, a sensational find of a prince of the Moche era was made. Continue to Lambayeque, where you will visit the Museum Tumbas Reales del Señor de Sipán. 

This modern and interesting museum displays the tomb of Sipán and impresses with its architecture inspired by the temples of the Moche culture. You will spend the night at Casa Andina Select Chiclayo or a similar hotel.

After Chiclayo, the journey continues to Trujillo, where you will visit the Moon Temple of the Moche culture and the Huaca El Dragon from the Chimú period. In Huanchaco, a fishing village, you will get to know the famous rush boats "caballitos de totora" and enjoy a lunch directly at the Pacific Ocean. Another highlight is the visit to the royal palace complex of Chan Chan, the former capital of the great Chimú Empire. You will spend the night at the Hotel Costa de Sol or a similar hotel in Trujillo.

From Trujillo you will fly to Cusco, the starting point for the visit to Machu Picchu. In Cusco, you will take a private German-speaking city tour and explore the surrounding ruins, including the Temple of Gold, the Cathedral, and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress. In the sacred valley "Valle Sacrado" you will visit the salt mines of Maras as well as the fortress of Ollantaytambo. Then you will take the Andean train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night and visit Machu Picchu early the next morning.

After the unforgettable experience of Machu Picchu, the journey continues to the Altiplano plateau. You will visit the baroque church of Andahuaylillas and stop at the "La Raya" pass to enjoy the majestic view of the mighty Andes. Continue to the Viracocha Temple, a unique place where the Incas built walls of stone and clay. After lunch, you will arrive in Puno on Lake Titicaca in the late afternoon, where you will stay in a selected hotel and enjoy dinner.

The next day you will take a boat trip to Taquile Island and the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians. Taquile is famous for their "knitting men" and offers breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca. After lunch on the island, you will return to Puno where you will again stay at the selected hotel and enjoy dinner.

From Puno, you will continue your journey to Copacabana and visit the Sanctuary. After lunch, you will continue to La Paz, the highest capital in the world. There you will have the opportunity to get to know the fascinating city during a sightseeing tour, which includes a ride on one of the state-of-the-art Doppelmayr cable cars. In the afternoon you will visit the Valle de la Luna, an impressive geological area with bizarre rock formations. 

The Bolivia experience ends at the Peruvian-Bolivian border, from where you return to La Paz.
